4-H CENTER WORK DAY ... It's still on for this Sunday beginning at 9:30 AM
with a pizza lunch provided.
We need whatever help you and your club members can provide ...
Please remember that all
work done at the 4-H Center is done by volunteers - Howe Baker and Charlie Smith have done a fantastic job of trying to keep
up with repairs and things that need to be taken care of, but need your help! (The amount of work ... and money ... that is
needed to keep up the 4-H Center can be overwhelming!!) We would appreciate any time you can give that day to help make
our 4-H Center something that we can continue to be proud of.
July 27-31, 2005 - Clothing Drive by the 4-H Teen Council to support Project GIFT. Collecting: Clothing, Shoes
& Handbags, Stuffed Animals, Household Linens (blankets, sheets, towels, curtains). Put items in sturdy plastic
trash bags and drop off at the Log Cabin.
July 27, 28, 29, & 30, 2005 - Set up for the Middlesex County Fair.
August 1 to 7, 2005 - Middlesex County Fair (Small Animals will be judged on July 31st).
August 20, 2005 - State Show at Fairgrounds.
August 21, 2005 - Open House at New Building on Riva Ave.
September 23-25 - Camping Weekend - CANCELLED.
October 1, 2005 - Record books are due to 4-H Leaders.
October 2, 2005 - Open House at the Log Cabin, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick (Fairgrounds). 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm - open
to the public.
October 9, 2005 - Cleanup Day at the 4-H Log Cabin on Cruanbury Road. All day. Rain? - call the 4-H Office.
October 15, 2005 - Community Service Day - see information near top of page.
October 18, 2005 - Teen Leader Training. 7:30-9:00 PM in the 4-H Center. 4-Hers in grades 8-13 are eligible
to be a teen leader. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. This will not be held for less than 5 people.
October 29, 2005 - Lindley G. Cook 4-H Youth Center "halloween Happenings" - see information near
top of page.
October Weekends - Volunteer to help set up, run, or take down the Haunted House. Friday & Saturday evenings
7-11 PM beginning October 7th to 29th. 4-H members grades 6 & up are welcome to help out. Prodeeds go toward
the 2005 4-H Project GIFT event.
November 7, 2005 - Craft Workshop and Dessert Swap. 7:00 PM at the 4-H Center. Bring a dessert and recipe
to share. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Adult and teen leaders or parents are needed to help plan and run this.
November 12, 2005 - Middlesex County Small Animal Show at the Log Cabin, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ (Fairgrounds).
