FLEMING
CASTLE GROUP TOURS - The town of Flemington grew up around--and took its name--from this building constructed by Samuel
Fleming in 1756. Flemington's oldest remaining house with its gambrel roof and winding stairway was built
along an important colonial road at a time when the area was described as having “more wolves than sheep, more
bears than horses, and more Indians than settlers.”
Group tours of the Fleming Castle are available by appointment
for both children and adults. To schedule a tour call 908-782-4607 or e-mail us at flemingcastle@yahoo.com.
The Fleming Castle is open to the public the second Saturday of the month from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
